Sailing at night can be a bit nerve-wracking, especially in busy shipping lanes when it can hard to judge the distance and course of ships just from their lights. With our new AIS system and radar all the ships show up on our nice new chart plotter. Any of the targets on a potential collision course turn red so we can take avoiding action in plenty of time. It certainly makes life a lot easier!
